UK’S BEST MOBILE FISH AND CHIP OPERATORS REVEALED
The UK’s top mobile fish and chip businesses have been revealed today (Tuesday 4 September 2018) making up the shortlist for the Best Mobile Fish and Chip Operator Award, one of 14 categories in the 2019 National Fish & Chip Awards.
Following initial judging, five operators – Dodson’s Fresh Catch in West Yorkshire; The English Indian in Staffordshire; The Fish Bar in Cheshire; The Little Fishy in Tyne and Wear; and The Whiddon Wagon in Devon – have been shortlisted for the contribution mobile businesses make in providing the nation’s favourite dish.
The finalist businesses have been judged against a wide range of criteria, including sustainable sourcing policies, staff training, marketing and of course, the quality of product served to its customers.
Over the coming weeks the businesses will face further mystery dining inspections, before the overall UK winner is announced at the prestigious annual awards ceremony to be held in London on 24 January 2019.

Our shortlisted finalists hit the mark perfectly with all five showcasing the high levels of innovation that can be found within the mobile catering sector while still retaining the traditions of our quintessentially British meal, fish and chips.”
